Study: MCP/A2A Protocols Fall Short on Agent Governance

The research compares these against a six-dimensional governance taxonomy derived from organizational theory: membership, deliberation, voting, dissent retention, human escalation, and audit/replay. The study concludes that these protocols only support task-oriented coordination, stopping at the boundaries of enterprise deployment. They fail to express "governed agent communities"—such as declaring voting rights or handling dissent—revealing a significant gap at the enterprise governance level.
