Micron Begins Expansion of ¥1.5 Trillion Memory Chip Plant in Japan

Memory chipmaker Micron has officially begun the expansion of its factory in western Japan. With a total investment of approximately 1.5 万亿日元 (about $9.3 billion), the project aims to boost the production capacity of memory chips required for AI and data centers.
