shadcn Clarifies Radix Will Not Be Deprecated
shadcn · x · 2026-07-03
The shadcn team clarified that migrating to Base UI does not mean Radix is being deprecated. Radix will continue to be supported, with all future updates and new components being released for both libraries simultaneously (unless a component is exclusive to Base UI).
Users are not required to migrate. Radix remains a mature and stable library that is still used in the team's official production environments, and existing applications can continue using it without issues.
