32 frontier AI labs · 132 roles added in 24h · agihunt.info/en/jobs

Today at a glance

  • Data-center buildout accelerates: SpaceXAI added 19 roles today — almost entirely Data Center positions in Memphis, Tennessee (electricians, power-system engineers, protection & controls engineers, BIM designers, logistics and inventory leads) — while Meta AI posted a Campus Construction Manager, Data Center in New Albany, OH, and Cerebras added a Data Center Provisioning Engineer spanning Norway, Toronto and Finland, underscoring a broad physical-infrastructure hiring push this week.
  • Security and safety roles cluster across labs: Anthropic's additions include a Lead, Data Center Security Delivery, a Software Engineering Manager, Network Security, and two Enterprise Intelligence Specialist openings; OpenAI added a Technical Program Manager, AI Safety & Safeguards and a Red Team Specialist - Cyber; and NVIDIA posted a Senior Applied Scientist Cyber Defense — safety and security hiring is showing up simultaneously at several of the largest labs tracked.
  • Global enterprise sales keeps expanding: OpenAI opened Applied AI Engineer seats in London and Abu Dhabi plus Executive Business Partner roles in Singapore and Mumbai; Anthropic added a Customer Success Manager in Seoul and Partner Sales Manager, Systems Integrators in both London and Dublin; and Cohere posted a Senior Director, Solutions Architecture, APAC covering Singapore and Korea.
  • Robotics and vertical AI show up in small doses: Apple AIML listed a Robot ML Engineer in Cupertino, and StepFun (阶跃星辰) posted 行业资深产品经理(座舱)(Senior Industry Product Manager, Cockpit) — isolated but concrete signals of hardware and automotive-vertical ambitions.
  • ByteDance keeps shrinking its pipeline while adding compliance roles: ByteDance Doubao/Seed (字节跳动豆包/Seed) closed 36 roles today against just 7 additions, yet still holds the largest open count in the dataset at 924; the additions themselves skew toward safety and governance — 资深豆包AI大模型安全合规专家 (Senior Doubao LLM Safety & Compliance Expert) and 大模型应用专家(游戏治理方向)(LLM Application Expert, Game Governance).

Company moves

OpenAI: Added 13 roles today (59 over 7 days) while closing 19. New postings lean into technical program management for safety and infrastructure — Technical Program Manager, AI Safety & Safeguards; TPM, AI Accelerator Software; TPM, Cloud AI Partnerships — alongside a Red Team Specialist - Cyber and international ops seats in London, Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Mumbai.

Anthropic: 12 additions today and 86 over the week, second only to Microsoft AI's weekly total. The mix pairs security build-out (data center security, network security, enterprise intelligence) with international sales expansion into Seoul, London and Dublin, plus an Applied AI Architect, Public Sector (National Security) role in Washington, DC.

Microsoft AI: The largest mover by far — 49 additions today, 222 over 7 days, against 72 closures. Postings skew heavily toward India (Hyderabad, Noida, Pune) across software engineering, product management and solution architecture, alongside a continuing Health AI thread (Member of Product Staff - Health AI, Clinical Specialist, both London) and a Multimodal Inference engineering role.

Google DeepMind (谷歌 DeepMind): One addition — Senior Product Manager, Gemini Post Training — against two closures, a small but pointed signal of continued investment in post-training productization.

Meta AI: Four additions matched four closures. New roles include three Business Support Engineer postings spanning Generative AI and Advertising Technology in Dublin/London, plus the Campus Construction Manager, Data Center noted above.

NVIDIA (英伟达): Seven additions against 22 closures. New roles span ML infrastructure (Senior ML Engineer, Metropolis; Senior DFX Software Engineer - Machine Learning), a Senior Applied Scientist, Cyber Defense, and developer-relations expansion into India and Canada.

Apple AIML (苹果 AIML): Four additions, four closures. Beyond the Robot ML Engineer role, postings include Software Engineer, Search and RAG Applications and an Applied Machine Learning Engineer, Platform Architecture, plus a data-generation/verification engineer in Heidelberg.

SpaceXAI: Added 19 roles today, the most of any company after Microsoft AI, and 38 over the week — nearly all tied to the Memphis data-center build described above.

Perplexity: One addition, a Sr. Technical Recruiter, suggesting the company is scaling its own hiring function.

Cursor: One addition — Regional Director, Strategic Sales - High Tech, remote — against one closure, continued enterprise-sales investment.

Lovable: Two additions, a Partner Development Manager for Regional SIs (New York/London) and a Security Engineer, Corporate in Stockholm.

Cohere: One addition — the APAC Solutions Architecture director role noted above — against one closure.

Scale AI: One addition, a Partner Development Manager in Public Sector Business Development, Washington, DC.

Cerebras: One addition (the data-center provisioning role above) against one closure.

Aleph Alpha: No additions and one closure, leaving just a single open role — the thinnest pipeline of any company tracked.

StepFun (阶跃星辰): One addition, the cockpit product-manager role noted above, based in Xuhui.

ModelBest (面壁智能): Three additions against six closures, a net pullback. New roles include 海外业务拓展 (Overseas Business Development) across Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen and 大模型数据开发工程师 (LLM Data Development Engineer).

Baidu AI (百度 AI): Four additions, two closures. New postings include 公有云模型训推加速工程师 (Public Cloud Model Training/Inference Acceleration Engineer), 游戏行业解决方案工程师 (Gaming Industry Solutions Engineer) and 大客户销售经理 (Key Account Sales Manager), all under its ACG unit.

ByteDance Doubao/Seed (字节跳动豆包/Seed): Seven additions against 36 closures — the steepest same-day pruning in the dataset — even as its 924 open roles remain the largest count tracked.

Tencent Hunyuan (腾讯混元): One addition, 混元大模型中台研发负责人 (Hunyuan LLM Middle-Platform R&D Lead), spanning Beijing and Shenzhen.

MiniMax 海螺: No additions but five closures today, a pure contraction against its 193 open roles.

Mistral AI, Together AI, Pika Labs, Genmo, Moonshot AI (月之暗面 Kimi), DeepSeek (深度求索), Zhipu AI (智谱 AI), Meituan LongCat (美团·龙猫), 01.AI (零一万物), SenseTime SenseNova (商汤日日新) and Alibaba Tongyi Qwen (阿里通义千问) logged no net change today.

What it signals

The gap between global and China-based labs remains wide on a 7-day view: the 19 global companies tracked added 548 roles over the past week, versus 82 across the 13 China-based labs — a roughly 7-to-1 ratio. Microsoft AI's own 7-day total of 222 alone exceeds the entire Chinese cohort combined, and Anthropic's 86 is not far behind it. That gap says less about ambition than about where headcount is currently flowing: global labs are running open, multi-front hiring across infrastructure, safety and sales simultaneously, while several China labs (Zhipu AI, Alibaba Tongyi Qwen, Mistral AI among the ones logging zero this week) are holding steady rather than expanding their listed pipelines.

A second thread is physical infrastructure. SpaceXAI's Memphis data-center hiring, Meta's data-center construction manager, Cerebras's international provisioning engineer and Microsoft AI's Senior Director, Datacenter End-to-End Build Delivery all point to compute capacity, not just model or product work, as a live hiring priority this week. This is a distinct category from the software/research postings that usually dominate frontier-lab job boards, and its appearance across four separate companies in the same window suggests the constraint is broadly shared rather than company-specific.

Safety and security hiring is the third consistent signal, and it is not confined to US labs. Anthropic's security cluster, OpenAI's AI Safety & Safeguards TPM and cyber red-team hire, and NVIDIA's cyber-defense scientist sit alongside ByteDance's own Senior Doubao LLM Safety & Compliance Expert posting. That a Chinese lab is hiring for model safety/compliance in the same window as its US counterparts suggests the category has become a standing organizational function everywhere large models ship, rather than a US-specific regulatory response.

Within China, the pattern looks more like pruning-and-refocusing than expansion. ByteDance closed 36 roles against 7 additions, ModelBest closed more than it opened, and MiniMax logged five closures with no new postings — all while still carrying large open counts (ByteDance's 924 is the highest in the dataset). Where additions did appear, they were narrow and vertical rather than broad: StepFun's cockpit product manager, Baidu's gaming-industry solutions engineer, Tencent Hunyuan's middle-platform lead. That looks less like a race for more headcount and more like selective bets on specific application verticals layered on top of pipelines that are otherwise being trimmed.
