Google Releases Gemini API CLI to Add Multimodal Capabilities to Coding Agents

Philipp Schmid of Google has released Gemini API CLI, a stateless command-line tool for calling the Gemini API. It is designed to give existing coding agents like Claude easy multimodal capabilities rather than serving as a new agent itself.
