Phil Schmid launches Gemini API CLI: a stateless multimodal tool belt for your existing coding agent
_philschmid · x · 2026-10-27
Phil Schmid's team launched Gemini API CLI, a command-line tool for calling the Gemini API. It's not a new coding agent — you hand it to the agent you already use (Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Cursor, etc.). Capabilities: generate images/video/speech/music; analyze PDFs, images, audio, video and YouTube URLs; transcribe recordings to md/json/srt; run Deep Research in the background. It's stateless — no memory, no chat mode: your agent owns context and the plan, the CLI just makes API calls. Self-describing for agents with --help and --dry-run.
