NVIDIA's 400G per-lane optical spec raises bar for CPO lasers

NVIDIA has proposed a 400G per-lane optical channel spec using 212.5 Gbaud PAM4 with stringent laser RIN requirements, and an IEEE Balan2026 proposal seeks to extend compliance testing to CPO channels for the first time.
