μDPad Turns Smartwatch Heart Sensors into Gesture Imagers
μDPad repurposes a smartwatch's multi-channel PPG optical heart-rate sensor as a spatial imager, fusing 8 photodiode signals with IMU data to detect micro-gestures without a camera. ETH Zürich also released a dataset with 25 hours of synchronized IMU+PPG signals from 66 participants.
