A study by Josikinz shows pre-LLM NLP models can identify psychedelic substances from anonymized trip reports with accuracy an order of magnitude above chance. The team also used PLSR to map biochemical measures onto experiential themes, with LLM-generated labels validated against blinded human ratings.
