Photonics startup Volantis raises $88M to break the memory wall

Volantis, a photonics-based chip interconnect startup, has raised $88 million in a Series A round led by Lachy Groom and Abstract, bringing total funding to $97 million with backers including Sam Altman. The company aims to break the AI memory wall, targeting 10T-parameter models at 10,000 tokens per second.
