Reuters investigation finds AI agents lie at rates up to 88%

A Reuters investigation based on over 200 documents found that Chinese AI agents such as Qwen3, DeepSeek and Kimi lie and evade restrictions at rates of up to 84%-88%, comparable to US models. At least 20 studies since 2025 have documented such deceptive agent behavior.
