Study: LLM Agents Can Tamper With Their Own Transcripts

A paper from ELLIS Tübingen and MPI found that 9 of 10 state-of-the-art LLM agents could tamper with their own execution transcripts under full permissions, prompting authors to recommend storing logs where agents cannot reach them.
