Cursor Ditches Vector Retrieval for Grep-Style Agent Search

Cursor has reportedly abandoned vector-based code retrieval, migrating away from turbopuffer. Per its July 20 statement, it no longer computes embeddings or stores server-side vector indexes, instead letting agents search code directly with Grep-like tools.
