Block Joins x402 Foundation to Bring Bitcoin Lightning to AI Agent Payments

Block (formerly Square) has joined the x402 Foundation, an open standard for agentic payments enabling automated transactions between people, businesses, and AI agents. Block will contribute a Bitcoin Lightning-based payment solution to the standard.
