WanGP v13 brings YuE2: Suno-class local song generation on 4.5GB VRAM
On September 16, developer cocktailpeanut shipped a series of WanGP (Wan2GP) updates that drastically lower the hardware barrier for local AI video and song generation. WanGP v13.00 integrates the new YuE2 song generation model, which the author says rivals Suno 5 while running on just 4.5GB VRAM — input lyrics and a genre to get a full song with vocals; the author tested it, found it genuinely better, and shared sample songs.

- WanGP/Wan2GP landed on Pinokio with one-click install, a heavily optimized Gradio UI for low-VRAM machines (6GB+), supporting Wan 2.1/2.2, Qwen, Hunyuan Video, LTX Video, Flux and more.
- A dedicated AMD build also landed on Pinokio, letting RDNA 2-4 GPU users run these video generation models locally.
- WanGP added LongCat Avatar 1.5 Distilled 13.6B (the "Another lipsync" model), runnable even on low-spec machines.
Why it matters
- Suno-class song generation on 4.5GB VRAM and multiple video models on 6GB put real audio/video creation within reach of users without high-end GPUs, free of cloud subscriptions and privacy concerns.
- The AMD release fills a long-standing gap for Radeon users, and Pinokio one-click install further lowers the entry barrier.
