Google Maps Complete Male Fruit Fly Brain Connectome with Over 166,000 Neurons

Google Research, together with HHMI Janelia and others, has completed the first full connectome of an adult male fruit fly, using AI to assemble millions of 2D images into a 3D reconstruction of over 166,000 neurons—a milestone for connectomics and AI for science.
