Following Jacob Coxon's high-profile departure from Anthropic, whose viral post drew over 155 million views and prompted lawmakers to call for a special hearing, two more AI safety researchers from Anthropic and Google have quit, warning there are 'no adults in the room.' Former Anthropic safety team member Joe Benton is joining evaluator METR to push for AI transparency and accountability from the outside.
