Google says TPU servers pay back in under a year, half that of GPUs

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said at a Goldman Sachs conference that AI servers pay back in under two years, while servers using Google's in-house TPUs recoup costs in about one year—roughly half that of GPU servers.
