ORNL's AI System Autonomously Builds Artificial Graphene Atom by Atom

ORNL published an ACS Nano study on an AI-driven system that autonomously steers atomically sharp microscope tips to place single molecules on copper, building custom lattices including artificial graphene. It ran unattended for over 25 hours, assembling a 37-molecule lattice.
