Cloudflare's zstd Cache Transcoding Could Save Petabytes of Storage

Cloudflare detailed an intern-built Cache Transcoding prototype that re-compresses cached responses with Zstandard inside Pingora, shrinking text assets to about a third of their size and potentially saving petabytes of storage.
