Perplexity Brings Hybrid Compute to Mac, Open-Sources Privacy Classifier
Perplexity has rolled out Hybrid Compute to all Mac app users, splitting agent tasks between cloud and on-device models so privacy-sensitive steps stay local. It also open-sourced the privacy classifier that decides which content runs on-device.
