Grok Bot 0.30.0 introduces Templates: share, publish and reuse Bot configs
On Aug 29, Grok Bot shipped Templates in its 0.30.0 update: users can save Bot setups (structure, roles, workflows) as templates to create, share, publish and install them, and publish them to a marketplace for direct use or remixing. The feature is available on the latest desktop and mobile apps.
Confirmed
- @markk reported that 0.30.0 introduces template sharing with a marketplace plus extensive bug fixes and performance improvements; @testingcatalog, @nimaowji and others confirmed the rollout and update path
- @mattyp published a video tutorial covering template basics, sharing/publishing, complex setups, writing tips and evaluation
- @XFreeze noted templates let teams reuse complete workflows, avoiding repeated setup and easing standardized, scaled AI deployment
- @Baconbrix saw it as a way to spread best configs and workflows across the community; @markk added users can launch specialized Grok Bots without starting from scratch
- @pswider described templates as bundles of skills, memory and plugins—"blueprints" or "workflows"—shareable via link after domain-specific training, calling it the first path to broadly sharing knowledge work
- @minchoi noted users can build sales bots, research bots or "chief-of-staff" agents and share links so others can spin up their own instances—a step toward a "one-person company" in your pocket
- @mattyp shared that SpaceXAI engineers open-sourced an engineering Grok Bot template implementing a general engineering outer loop: an agent above coding agents, referencing pstack for how/why/truth-seeking, writing testable goal-oriented prompts
- Sawyer Merritt (@Scobleizer), an early-access user, built a "home robot" template that controls multiple household robots from a single chat, downloadable with one click
Why it matters
- Templating lowers the configuration barrier, turning individual setups into reusable assets—a key step toward team-based, scaled AI Bot deployment
- A marketplace plus real-world open-source templates (outer-loop agents, home robot control) could seed a template ecosystem and accelerate best-practice sharing and remixing
