IBM Unveils Dual-ISA Processor Natively Running Z and ARM on the Same Core

At Hot Chips 2026, IBM unveiled a next-generation mainframe CPU that, for the first time in the industry, natively and concurrently executes IBM Z (z/Architecture) and ARM instructions on each core, ending the need for separate hardware.
