Taiwan Indicts 9 for Smuggling Nvidia B300 Servers to China

Prosecutors in Keelung, Taiwan have indicted nine people, including an Nvidia employee and two former Super Micro Taiwan staff, for allegedly conspiring to illegally ship servers powered by Nvidia B300 AI chips to China. According to prosecutors, the defendants falsified documents claiming that 130 servers would remain in Taiwan, when in fact 74 ended up in China. These chips have been covered by the US export ban on China since 2022.
