Watching Short Videos Suppresses Brain's Cognitive Control Network: Zhejiang University Study
Zhejiang University researchers using fMRI found that watching short videos significantly reduces activity in the brain's cognitive control network, which governs focus, effort and self-regulation. The more immersed viewers were—especially when watching a video to the end—the less these control systems were engaged.
