Open-Source Tool Portable Handoff Carries Chat Context Across AI Models

Independent developer @DaikonCharacter6259 released and open-sourced the tool portable-handoff (GitHub: legoambarish/portable-handoff) on August 19-20. The motivation came from the author repeatedly having to re-explain context and waste time when switching between AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor—every new chat or model change meant starting over—so they built this portable conversation handoff tool.
