Intangible Adds Gaussian Splat Support for Editing Captured Real-World Scenes
On August 15, creative tool Intangible announced support for Gaussian Splatting, letting users capture real-world locations and import them into Build mode to keep designing — splats are no longer mere visual references but editable, structural parts of a scene. @umeshai posted a series of threads demonstrating the full workflow from capture and import to editing and organizing objects.

- Capture method: Using a kitchen island as a demo, @umeshai showed you simply move the camera to photograph a real scene from different angles; no scene reconstruction is needed because the underlying spatial reference stays consistent
- Import process: Intangible processes the captured data, checks orientation and scale, then drops it straight into Build mode
- Editability: Imported splats can be selected, positioned, moved, and used as elements to build on top of
- Object interaction: Objects can be added to the scene (like the apple @umeshai placed on the counter); they snap directly onto splats and can also be parented to splats to keep the scene organized
