AgentIR Enables Retrievers to Understand Agent Reasoning

The University of Waterloo introduced AgentIR, a new retrieval paradigm that embeds the agent's reasoning chain alongside the query. This approach allows small models to significantly outperform larger models in accuracy and has been accepted by COLM 2025.
