FDA Approves First AI Tool for Quantifying Coronary Artery Inflammation

The FDA has approved the first AI tool that quantifies coronary artery inflammation from CT scans. Based on an analysis of 40,000 patients, the AI-detected vascular inflammation is strongly linked to up to a 30-fold increased risk of cardiac death.
