Claude Desktop Introduces Screen Recording to Create Reusable Skills

Anthropic's desktop application, Claude Cowork, recently introduced a new feature called "Record a skill". This allows users to transform complex workflows into AI-understandable and repeatable skills simply by performing tasks while explaining them, dramatically lowering the barrier for custom workflow creation.

Feature Details and Availability

According to user feedback, the feature can be accessed via the "+" menu in the desktop app. While recording, users simply perform their tasks naturally alongside screen recording and simultaneous voice narration. Claude automatically analyzes the demonstration and organizes it into a reusable skill. Currently, this screen recording tutorial feature is available to subscribers on the Pro, Max, and Team plans.
