SiteSpeak Launches Claude Code Plugin to Manage and Optimize Support Bots

SiteSpeak released a Claude Code plugin that connects to its support chatbots, letting developers troubleshoot and optimize them in natural language. According to author @hermanschutte, the plugin can read months of conversation history, cluster questions the bot fails to answer, fill in missing knowledge, and retrain the bot—with all changes gated by human confirmation. Because it acts on real production configuration, it is a representative example of how customer-support automation and ops workflows may evolve.

Core Capabilities

The plugin can read and modify the bot's actual settings, including prompts, model, temperature, knowledge sources (e.g., adding pages or re-crawling), lead capture, human handoff, and inbox classification. After install, users can ask questions like "why can't the bot answer this," "how to optimize the support bot for lead collection," or "which chatbot has the lowest answer rate" and let Claude Code investigate and act.

Safety and Deployment

On safety, the author says every write operation requires human confirmation before any live configuration is changed. The plugin ships with a Claude Code install command and an open-source repository, works on the free tier, and the author suggests developers first test it against their worst-performing bot.

Model Switching

The plugin also supports migrating a chatbot's model across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI with a single command, subject to the user's current plan, alongside BYOK (bring-your-own API key).
