Michael Dell 感谢黄仁勋并回忆自己 1985 年（20 岁）首次到访台湾：当年 Compeq（而非 Compaq）为其生产 PCB，首台基于 286 的 PC 原型由 Jay Bell 手工接线完成，采用 Chips and Technologies 的芯片组，量产主板当时在日本生产——那时台积电尚未崛起。这段历史他也写进了自己的书《Play Nice But Win》。
