X has open-sourced its "For You" recommendation algorithm. The highest weighted signal is users copying the link of a post to share outside X (+20 points), followed by replies and mutual conversations. Simple likes are essentially considered noise in the algorithm.
Based on this mechanism, the author asked Grok to write the single most algorithmically optimized post. Grok generated a highly controversial opinion about AI scaling to maximize replies and discussion.
