Dooder puts an AI with on-device hearing and voice entirely on the Apple Watch
breagz · reddit · 2026-11-09
A developer built Dooder with Claude Code as lead developer: an AI living on the Apple Watch that reads your calendar, searches flights and Airbnbs, and saves plans to Notion, asking before changes. Voice runs fully on-device: NVIDIA Parakeet (110M) for speech recognition, an 8M-param neural voice (Paradee, Kokoro-relative) for speech, plus a 150k-word pronunciation dictionary compiled on iPhone — about 25MB total. No phone or server needed; your own Claude API key is called straight from the Watch over cellular, and apps connect via MCP. Build lessons: design first, tester screenshots as bug reports, model-based evals catching tool-choice regressions. Free on TestFlight.
