Dev builds MCP client that runs on Apple Watch, plans trips across Flights, Airbnb and Notion

Dooder is an Apple Watch app that calls MCP servers directly over cellular, with no proxy or backend. One chat checks the calendar for a free weekend, searches Google Flights and Airbnb, then writes the plan to Notion.
Key design:
- Connect servers via the official MCP Registry or by URL; OAuth happens on iPhone, the token goes to the Watch; bring your own model (ChatGPT sign-in or Claude API key).
- Approval model: read-only tools run freely for signed-in/publisher-domain servers; URL-added servers ask once per chat; write actions show an approval card built from the tool schema in plain words, hiding plumbing args; cross-server data is labeled ("Includes details from Airbnb"); tool output is treated as content, never instructions.
The author asks how others handle servers without readOnlyHint. TestFlight just opened 100 more spots.
