Veteran pentester: AI agent swarms get blocked fast — breaches still come from bad passwords

The Information Bottleneck podcast hosts Dan Card, a cybersecurity consultant with 25+ years of breaking into and defending systems. He runs a lab where AI agents attack other AI-agent defenders, but pushed back on AI-hype assumptions: AI mainly helps attackers with research and planning, and helps defenders triage hundreds of daily alerts; a swarm of 10,000 agents against a defended server mostly gets you blocked faster; most breaches still stem from bad passwords and misconfigurations. Key takeaway: think brick-through-the-window threats, not teleporting aliens. Also covers air gaps vs sandboxes, Stuxnet, and prompt injection.
