Apple ships official Xcode plugin for Claude Code, plus an AI playbook to find and build iOS apps

The news: Apple has published an official Xcode plugin inside Claude Code's plugin directory (/plugin install xcode@claude-plugins-official, requires latest Xcode). It lets Claude build, run and test your app, render SwiftUI previews, drive simulators and real iPhones, read build logs and errors, and search Apple's developer docs — no Xcode needed.
Greg Isenberg's playbook for building an iOS app business with AI agents on top of this:
- Find a market: sort utilities by revenue on Appfigures/Sensor Tower, filter for apps rated under 3.5 that haven't shipped an update in 6+ months; look for low-difficulty, high-revenue keywords; every app in the "you might also like" row is another market to check.
- Validate: pull all reviews for the top 20 apps with facundoolano/app-store-scraper, then have an agent cluster 1-2 star reviews into the top 5 complaints with user quotes. Pick apps where complaints target the product, not the price — people who complain about price but keep paying prove real demand.
- Build and grow: use the Xcode plugin so Claude Code can develop and iterate the app end to end.
