Mathematician littmath: papers may need costly signaling to survive the AI era
littmath · x · 2026-11-08
In a discussion with @scottnarmstrong, mathematician littmath argues that saving papers as meaningful work products may require costly signaling — e.g. very strict rate limits. He suggests AI disclosures were partly meant for this, but they're useless because they're unenforceable. Both agree there's no real alternative: without such measures, the paper as a work product stops making sense.
