Eran Segal's team published a Nature Medicine paper on a gait foundation model: they filmed 3,000+ people walking, extracted 3D skeletons, and trained a GaitMAE self-supervised model. Gait alone predicted BMI, visceral fat, age, and 1,887 traits ranging from grip strength to sleep quality, spanning cardiovascular, liver, bone density and other body systems.
