OpenAI reportedly building a Search Console-like tool to claim and track businesses in ChatGPT
5le · x · 2026-11-08
Per Search Engine Roundtable, OpenAI is developing a Search Console/Webmaster Tools-like feature called "Claim your business in ChatGPT," first spotted by Juozas Kaziukėnas on LinkedIn. It lets businesses:
- Track how often they appear in ChatGPT answers, measuring both impressions and link clicks daily with charts
- List latest products and keep business info up to date
- Let a business agent answer customer questions with controlled context
The move signals ChatGPT is building a formal ecosystem for brands to measure and manage their visibility inside AI answers — a significant step for AEO/GEO practitioners.
