Perplexity CEO on Joe Rogan: the desk job was a sales strategy, and AI taking it over isn't bad

Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas argued on Joe Rogan that Microsoft's "knowledge worker" concept was built to sell more office software — the desk job itself was designed around selling PCs and Office licenses. If AI takes over that work, "it's not necessarily a bad thing." He predicts the next work paradigm will reward those who ask AI the right questions, while schools still grade on answers any AI already knows.
The post also quotes an agent-engineering article, "Harness, Loop and Graph": when your agent passes every test but the issue stays open, the model isn't the broken part — the author breaks down the harness, loop and graph layers around it, what each owns, how they nest, and which to fix first, with examples from Claude Code, Codex and Grok Bot.
