The six-firewall stack meme: each layer blocks a different country's backdoors
kingslyj · x · 2026-11-08
A viral security-community meme shows an internal network protected by six firewalls in series — Cisco, Huawei, Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto and pfSense — each labeled as blocking a different country's backdoors (Chinese, US, Russian, Israeli), with the last two annotated "IDK all the cool kids have them" and "for good luck". Quoting "your VPN should be behind a VPN", it satirizes the industry's paranoia about supply-chain backdoors and stack-on-everything defense.
