One-liner reverse DNS sweep: prips piped into dig beats dedicated tools
kingslyj · x · 2026-11-08
No need to build and install hakrevdns — this one-liner does batch reverse DNS lookups:
prips 173.0.84.0/24 | xargs -i dig +short -x {}
prips (installable via apt on Debian) enumerates every IP in the CIDR range and pipes them to dig for PTR queries. Zero extra dependencies, works anywhere.
