AI Lab Reportedly Fired Engineer for Using AI Agents to Auto-Merge Non-Prod Code

YuchenjUW flags a blog post claiming an AI lab fired an engineer partly for using AI agents to review and auto-merge non-prod code.
If true, he calls it insane: the lab would rather see PRs sit for weeks or even a month before merging. He argues the "AI-generated code is slop" mindset needs to die — you can't let humans and processes kill your shipping velocity.
