Open-source MCP server lets Claude Code drive, fly and play GTA V in the background
Wonderful-Ad-8579 · reddit · 2026-11-08
A developer open-sourced a stdio MCP server that lets LLM agents play 3D games in the background, working with Claude Code, Codex, or any MCP client. A DLL injected into the game process handles input and capture, so games run unfocused and multiple games can run simultaneously, each with its own agent. Features include waypoint navigation on foot, car, helicopter, boat, or horse; aiming; OCR/template-based menu reading; and tools for strategy, card, and city-builder games—new games need only a profile, not code. Uses span mod testing, simulations, offline AI co-op, and playtesting. MIT licensed, Windows single-player only. Claude Code planned the project and wrote much of the code; the demo shows Claude flying and landing a helicopter in GTA V in real time.
