Claude launches Personal Finance beta with read-only account access

Anthropic announced Personal Finance in Claude (beta, US only): users can connect chosen financial accounts and ask money questions in everyday language, answered from real balances and transactions. Anthropic stresses access is strictly read-only — Claude cannot move, manage, or invest your money. A viral mock screenshot jokes about the agent booking a $74.29 bus trip to Detroit instead.
