Lattice: open-source 'Cursor for research papers' bundles Claude Code, Overleaf and citations in one app
minchoi · x · 2026-11-08
minchoi demos Lattice, a free open-source app billed as "Cursor for research papers", combining AI coding agents, LaTeX writing and reference management in one tool, with six standout features:
- Bring your own agent: plug in Claude Code, Codex or Cursor to read papers, fix LaTeX errors and edit drafts — every AI change is reviewable and undoable.
- Live Overleaf sync: coauthors keep using Overleaf; edits, comments, cursors and chat sync in real time with nothing to install.
- Instant PDF preview beside LaTeX source, with click-to-jump between source and PDF; files stay local.
- Paper library: paste an arXiv ID, DOI or title to add, read and cite papers directly in your draft.
- One workspace for papers, Markdown notes, whiteboards, spreadsheets and slides, all readable/editable by the agent.
- AI review: select text to proofread or polish, leave annotations, and accept/reject individual proposed revisions.
