ARC-AGI-2 3rd place solution draws on century-old puzzle books

gonedarragh's team has posted their writeup for the 3rd place solution on the ARC-AGI-2 public leaderboard.
The key was data construction: instead of existing datasets, training data was inspired by classic puzzle books — works by Henry Dudeney, Sam Loyd, Édouard Lucas, and Professor Hoffmann. The puzzle shown in the image comes from Hoffmann's 1893 book "Puzzles Old and New". The thread was amplified by IBM's JFPuget.
