TaoSheng open-sources always-on Android lifelog with AI to-dos
vista8 · x · 2026-11-08
The open-source GitHub project TaoSheng turns a single Android phone into an always-on lifelog: continuous audio capture, automatic transcription, speaker identification via voiceprint, and LLM-generated to-dos, appointments and memories — no extra hardware, no account, data stays on the device.
- Design: the phone is already with you and already has a mic, so it listens quietly in the background, records only when someone speaks, batches transcription, separates speakers, then has an LLM turn it into action items; you query it by typing and answers cite the original audio.
- Any phone mic or Bluetooth audio device can serve as the source, effectively turning a phone into an AI recording pendant.
- Built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose; roughly 26 stars and 410 commits, with Chinese and English READMEs and a promo video.
