GitHub in Slack and Teams hits GA: turn chat conversations into issues, code and PRs
mariorod1 · x · 2026-11-07
GitHub announced general availability of @GitHub in Slack and Teams on a weekly release cadence. You can investigate bugs, create issues, implement changes, and open pull requests without leaving chat. New Canvas feature in Teams lets teams review implementation plans, code changes, and previews alongside the conversation. Other improvements: faster onboarding with automatic repo detection, fixed follow-up message responses, and clear attribution in issues/PRs noting which conversation created them.
